Why People Near Roanoke Reach Out

Burnout and anxiety are the most common presenting concerns from Roanoke, often in people who are performing well at work and privately running on empty.

  • Postpartum anxiety, depression, or intrusive thoughts in the first months or years after a birth.
  • Birth or medical trauma that still feels present rather than past.
  • Infertility, miscarriage, or pregnancy loss, and grief that others around you struggle to acknowledge.
  • Anxiety that has expanded to fill the day, with or without physical symptoms.
  • Depression that has drained the things that used to matter.
  • A marriage under strain, particularly in the years after children arrive.
  • Trauma from earlier in life that has resurfaced, often triggered by becoming a parent.

Counseling Services Available to Roanoke Clients

Each of these is available in person at the Argyle office or by secure video, whichever works for your week:

  • Perinatal & Postpartum Therapy

Support through fertility struggles, pregnancy, birth, and the first years of parenthood. Briana is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider (PMH-C) — a credential held by a small fraction of therapists — and this is the heart of the practice.

  • Postpartum Anxiety & Depression

Intrusive thoughts, constant checking, rage that appears from nowhere, or a flatness that doesn't lift. These are common, treatable, and not a sign that you're failing at motherhood.

  • EMDR & Trauma Therapy

EMDR helps the brain reprocess experiences that still feel present — birth trauma, medical trauma, childhood experiences, or a single event that changed how safe the world feels.

  • Anxiety Therapy

For the racing mind that won't switch off, the physical symptoms with no medical cause, and the exhausting work of managing everything so nothing goes wrong.

  • Depression Counseling

When motivation, interest, and energy have drained away and the things that used to matter no longer land. Therapy works on both the thought patterns and the circumstances underneath.

  • Couples & Marriage Therapy

Gottman Method-informed work on the same argument you keep having, the distance that crept in after children, and rebuilding connection you can both feel.

  • Women's Counseling

Identity, boundaries, people-pleasing, and the specific weight of being the person everyone else relies on.

  • Therapy for Therapists

Confidential support for clinicians carrying other people's stories — burnout, compassion fatigue, and the isolation of the work.

Why Clients Choose Rooted Healing

Roanoke has other counseling options. These are the reasons people choose this practice over a closer one:

  • Certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) — specialist training in pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive mental health that few therapists in Denton County hold.
  • One therapist, start to finish. A solo practice means no reassignment and no starting your story over.
  • EMDR-trained for trauma that talk therapy alone has not shifted.
  • Telehealth across Texas and California, so distance stops being the reason sessions get cancelled.
  • A free 15-minute consultation before you commit to anything.

Cost, Insurance & Logistics

  • Sessions are $175 for a 50-minute session, with a free 15-minute phone consultation first so you can decide whether it's a fit before spending anything.
  • Rooted Healing is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. If you have a PPO plan with out-of-network benefits, a monthly superbill is provided that you can submit for reimbursement.
  • Clients aged 16 and up are seen — individuals and couples.
  • Telehealth is available anywhere in Texas and California, which means sessions can continue through a newborn, a sick child, a work trip, or a week you simply cannot face the drive.
